Being Careful In Cream....

Apologies again my darlings for my sporadic postings, I know it has been a long time coming! I know it seems an eternity ago, but I hope you all had a wonderfully stylish Christmas, New Year and Valentine's Day!

Anyway, brace yourself for my latest update, it's gorgeous!!

We have a cream and black peplum top with a forties style A line pleated skirt on the bottom. Both pieces are from H & M and although are not styled together in the shop, I think compliment each other perfectly and capture the forties essence completely.

With regards to shoes, I've pushed the forties look even further with a round toe t-bar from Marks & Spencers...

Ideally, I would have preferred a teaspoon heel but after month's of searching, there just weren't any out there to be found, but I'll keep looking...

So, the shoes and outfit are sorted, now to provide somewhere to stash the obligatory red lipstick...

This gorgeous little moc croc number is from Primark of all places. You may wonder why I'm surprised, but to be honest, over the past year or so I've felt that their design focus has been heavily placed on 80's influenced clothing and accessories, so to find this forties/fifties inspired bag really made me happy, as obviously it was ridiculously cheap, I think it may have cost me about £6 - bargain!

All in all, I think it's a gorgeous vintage looking outfit, especially when teamed with, you guessed it, my favourite jewellery; pearls!

Here's the whole ensemble for you to enjoy...

Now, I don't usually do outerwear, but in this terrible weather in mind I thought I'd share with you my favourite coat. It keeps me toasty warm and looks terrific to boot!

Isn't it stunning?! The price was very reasonable too, it's part of the Holly Willoughby range for the online catalogue Very.co.uk and has been stocked for a couple of seasons now, although it was previously priced at around £80-£90 from what I can remember I bought it not too long ago for £55!

The coat is an ankle length wrap over design without buttons and does not come with the fur collar, this was something I bought from Ebay to add to it to glamorise it a bit more, the collar was only £12 but I think makes a showstopping addition. Here's a pic of the coat without the collar, which I do sometimes wear for a more played down look...

I think without the collar it still looks incredibly stylish and really is a joy to wear!

Another week, another outfit which I'm excited to share with you and I hope you love.
